Though not strictly dealing with the 'panoptic' (though I am sure it does from time to time), my eye was caught by THIS piece of news from the BBC site stating that the Tate Modern was now available on your iPod through iTunes. Technically, you don't need either as you can download podcasts and 'multimedia tours' from their own site HERE and play them however you like. Also worth checking out are the images on THIS page on the Tate blog.
